I'm an aspiring photographer, I specialize in Equine, Canine and Feline photography, as well as wildlife photography from time to time. I am also an aspiring model, I like to do photoshoots with my horse whenever I can! <3 Follow and reblog. All pictures are mine, unless otherwise stated or reblogged from someone else.

My sister did my first Maternity shoot with my beautiful girl Bella. I’m 6 and a half months in! Three more months until I meet my beautiful girl Ember Rose <3

We don’t just sit there.

No apparently we jump up and down and thump our horses in the ribs as hard as we can. Am I the only one that really hates these kind of pics?

You are not the only one.
This isn’t horsemanship, sorrynotsorry.
Studies have literally proven that kicking the shit out of your horse to make it gallop faster has no affect and won’t increase their damn top speed so calm down. Look it up on thehorse.com
Morals have also proven that this is a shitty thing to do so stop

Thankyouthankyouthankyou.

until you run a set of cans and have to push your horse past a barrel at top speeds, and feel the Adrenalin pumping threw your veins. take a ride in our saddles and you will understand what we are doing. sorrynotsorry

I can understand both sides. There’s no sense in kicking your horse past its limit. They top out at a certain speed and nothing can make them go faster. But also, if you don’t get up on your horse and kick/whip them, then they aren’t gonna run at a high speed. You’ll just be high loping the pattern which is what we do at home for practice. If you’re not gonna push your horse to be the fasted he can be, then I don’t understand why you’d barrel race. There’s a fine line between pushing a horse and whooping a horse and that line is in a different spot for each horse and its hard to find. There is a lot of adrenaline pumping in rider and horse and sometimes we over exaggerate but a lot of that “bouncing up and down” can’t be helped. I’m a fairly quiet rider; I try to let the horse go in and do his job then get out but even I find myself being launched up in the air because the horse launched off a barrel. All I ask before people go to bashing other events about how horrible it is is that you please try it and have the experience yourself so you can see what happens. Some of it can be helped but some of it can’t. Everyone makes mistakes, people.

I’m not impressed by these photos at all. If you can keep a decent seat when the horse launches out of the turn then I will be impressed. I understand getting thrown around a little, but a foot or more out of the saddle is ridiculous. I don’t even wanna know how your horses back feels. And I imagine that the force of your ass slamming down on him would hinder his ability to reach too speed, not enhance it.

Do you guys even know what photography is? It’s when the person posting this picture is the one who TOOK the picture. So how am I possible ruining my horses back, when I’m not the one on the horse in the first place? Thanks, but next time make sure you know that before you write comments. :]
